At the Center for Custom Prosthetics, every facial prosthesis is handcrafted using the highest quality medical-grade materials available. Our custom ear, nasal, and orbital prostheses are fabricated from advanced medical-grade silicone, while our custom prosthetic eyes and scleral shells are made from premium medical-grade acrylic — carefully selected to create restorations that are exceptionally realistic, comfortable, durable, and natural in appearance.

With a combined experience of over 50 years, our Maxillofacial Prosthetic team provides state-of-the-art technologies to the highest degree of excellence — serving patients with cancer, trauma, and congenital conditions from throughout Florida, the nation, and internationally. From our offices in Bonita Springs and Kissimmee, we care for patients traveling in from every region of the state.

We work closely with physicians, surgeons, and medical specialists so every patient receives a personalized treatment plan and the best possible outcome — and we coordinate directly with the Veterans Administration to ensure eligible veterans receive care at no out-of-pocket cost.

Susan Peters

Owner & Co-Founder

Susan co-founded the Center for Custom Prosthetics in Naples in 2001, together with her husband, Raymond E. Peters, after two decades of practice in Washington, D.C. and Maryland. Following Raymond’s passing nine years ago, Susan leads the practice as Owner — honoring his memory and legacy, and the patient-first philosophy they built together. Her focus on compassionate, personal care sets the tone for every patient’s experience, from the first phone call to the final fitting.

David brings 40+ years of clinical experience to every prosthetic he creates. Certified in three countries — England, Germany, and the USA — he trained at Matthew Boulton College in Birmingham and holds a Licentiateship in Maxillofacial Prosthetics from London. Now in his 19th year with the Center for Custom Prosthetics — and a partner in the practice for the past 14 — his command of the "Disappearing Edge" technique, refined across decades, has transformed outcomes for the patients in his care.

Jorge is a bilingual specialist with 12+ years of experience in custom ocular, scleral shell, auricular, and nasal prosthetics. Before joining the field of maxillofacial prosthetics, he practiced dentistry for 10 years — giving him a rare dual-lens perspective on facial anatomy and patient care that elevates every case he works on.
